Elsewhere Foundation

While trying to raise money for the 1983 season, Pocket Opera’s management continually received good wishes and polite declines, but was told to look “elsewhere” for funding. It seemed that Pocket Opera had found itself in that space between “too big for community funds” and “too small for civic arts funds.”  So we looked to our long-time loyal supporters -- our audience -- for acutely needed assistance and . . . the Elsewhere Foundation was born.

Elsewhere members are those who donate $200 or more to Pocket Opera each year. They receive priority seating at all San Francisco performances, a free libretto, advance notice of the upcoming season, invitations to members-only special events, and our undying gratitude. If you do not yet belong to the Elsewhere Foundation, please consider joining us. If you do, thank you so much.
